Today, we have a Roaming Penguin debut. Brooks Penguin headed out of Nashville and made his first stop in Wilmore, KY...

...where he decided to check out Friend of The Show Ali W.'s Penguins decor in her dormroom at Asbury College:

Haha, that Brooksie is SUCH a tourist! ;)

Brooks felt right at home in Ali's dorm.

He even hung out with Ali as she cracked open her books.

Thanks to Ali for her Roaming Penguin pictures

Well, I hope all of you had as wonderful a holiday as I did! :) I honestly didn't intend to go missing for so long, but I had a very full extended weekend of friends, family, and last minute fun to close out the summer. Now I'm relaxed, rested, refreshed, and READY FOR OCTOBER!!

Sidney Penguin must like the northern New York/Canadian border area. His most recent stop was in Welland, Ontario, Canada...

Click for a closeup view of Welland.

...where he spent a busy couple of days with Friend of The Show Stephanie B. taking road trips to Niagara and Toronto. Once again, I'll let her captions explain each photo:

"This is Sidney P. sitting on a dock of the Welland Recreational Waterway. Until 1970 when the new canal was built, the Recreational Waterway was a main 'highway' between lake Erie and lake Ontario for large ships. Referred to as 'the old canal' by most residents, it is an important part of the city's history, and hence an important place for Sidney P. to visit. (He went in the paddle boat while he was there!)"

"After Sidney visited the old canal, he made about an hour and a half journey to Toronto to the Air Canada Center for a Celine Dion concert!! He can be seen here chillaxin before the show..."

"...and then is shown with another famous Canadian in the background!"

Many, many thanks to Friend Stephanie B. for her contribution to today's post. :)

The Puck Drops Soon, Right?!

We've only got a little over a month left until the puck finally drops on a new season, and if we stick together, we'll make it through... ;) Until then, I've got something for you to help pass the time for today.

We've got a new member of our Roaming Penguins team making his debut on The Show. Petr Penguin left the home of Stephanie S. in Nashville and arrived in Pittsburgh's South Side...

...where he showed up on Stephanie C.'s doorstep. Her captions tell us what Petr Penguin was up to while they visited:

photo #1: Petr and my books for grad school

photo #2: Petr and his favorite website [snoop: I LOVE IT!!! :D]

photo #3: Petr and a couple of my favorite shirts

Big thanks go out to Stephanie C. for helping with today's post! :)

Sidney Penguin is still making his way around North America. (Hahaha, according to Google Maps, he's traveled more than 9,800 miles!) He came back to the East Coast to visit Friend of The Show Carlie D. in North Tonawanda, NY:

Holy gas guzzling, Batman! Check out that cross-country back-track! Sidney Penguin must drive a hybrid.

Here's a zoomed view of Buffalo and North Tonawanda:

Here's Carlie with our own Roaming Sidney Penguin:

I have that Sidney pennant, too. It's hanging up in our guest room. :)

Many thanks go out to Carlie for her contribution to today's post! :)

We've got more Friends in faraway places - Andrea H. sent in this picture all the way from Germany:

Over the weekend, Sidney Penguin continued on in his adventures across North America. He made a long, transatlantic trip from Nova Scotia to Seattle...

...where he met up with good Friend of The Show Daily Su. He alleviated his jet lag with a bottle of Crosby Cabernet and then, well, I'll just let her tell you all about it:
Today was "Take Your Penguin to Work Day". Sidney Penguin went to visit a TV station in Seattle. He liked everything he saw, but loved hanging out with the helicopter the most. He now wants to learn how to be a pilot (our helicopter is called "SkyKing" - our station call letters are KING).

Many thank yous to Friends Andrea and Daily Su for their help with today's post! :)

Seriously, What Is All The Fuss About?

In Roaming Penguin news, Sidney Penguin made his way to his namesake's stomping grounds...

...where Friend of The Show MichelleInNovaScotia caught up with him:

"First, here is Sidney Penguin visiting the welcome to Enfield sign. Sidney Crosby drives by this sign everyday on his way to his summer home in Enfield."

"And here's Sid Penguin sitting next to my computer and pic of his pal Sid Crosby."

Big thanks to Friend MichelleInNovaScotia for her help with today's post! And an enormous amount of gratitude goes out to all of the Friends too numerous to name who have left comments and/or sent me emails saying such nice things about how The Show is helping them make it through a bad day, a tough time, or a boring summer. You truly have NO IDEA how much that means to me. You guys are all SO AWESOME!!! :D

Time now for a Roaming Penguin update! Sidney Penguin has taken quite a long trip for the third leg of his world tour. He left Omaha and headed to Buffalo, NY - the site of one of the bigger moments in his namesake's life:

While in Buffalo, he stopped by Friend Blankiegreen520's house:

Meanwhile, Marc-Andre Penguin has departed Nashville and landed in Dubois, Pa...

...where Friend Terri A. snapped a picture of MAP "with his major league counterpart's jersey:"

Many, many thanks go out to Blankiegreen520 & Terri for sending in their Roaming Penguin pictures.
