Roamers Bring the World Together

Joeceff and Susan welcomed Sid and Max Penguin into their Tulsa home many months ago (rumor has it that the boys love that midwest living!)

Susan and I had the fun of meeting with another of the Sidney Crosby Show and Roaming Pens fan. Val (her blog name is also “Val”) is from Wisconsin , but grew up here in Tulsa , where I’m originally from and Susan and I currently live. She came through Tulsa last Sunday and we met with her for several hours and took some pictures. Val is the one in the white t-shirt, Susan is in the black one and if you couldn’t guess, I’m the one with the beard. I’m also sending a couple of pics with our Sid and Max Penguin celebrating with their own version of “The Cup”. We just wanted to let you know that at least in part, you are responsible for a new-found friendship.

Sid and Max Penguin with an itty bitty Cup!

Go ahead, Sid, hoist that sucker above your head!

Thanks to Joeceff and Susan for sharing their photos! So glad to hear that the little guys are helping along friendships :)

In other news, I just sent the MLF an e-mail to make sure the Roamers and check arrived safely (since I haven't heard anything since sending them in March). I will be sure to let you all know if I get a response!

Penguins On Parade

Terri A. took her Roamers to the Stanley Cup Champion Parade (I must say....I'm a tad jealous!)

Sidney and Marc Andre wait very patiently for the parade to begin

Marc Andre kills a little time by playing street hockey

Marc Andre waiting with all the other Penguins fans

SP and MAP agree with this sign. Thanks Mario!!

MAP and SP now know what a puck feels like when it's on the Penguin stick

Thanks so much to Terri for sharing her pics with us! I almost feel like I was there (maybe next year, huh? :) )

A Roamers Reunion

Carlie (CarlieCurlyQ) and her family came to Nashville all the way from Buffalo for the annual CMA Music Festival. I was sooooooo excited to meet my most enthusiastic Roamer friend! I visited with her and her mom and we talked a lot of hockey (go figure!). It was fun getting to meet them and reunite the Original Sidney Penguin with some of his teammates :)

We should do this again next year, Carlie!

PITTSBURGH PENGUINS - 2009 STANLEY CUP CHAMPS!!!

I really am at a loss for words right now....I am spent, excited, and emotional! But I couldn't let this day pass without congratulating the winners of The Cup. The boys played with heart and tenacity. I could go on and on about each player and what he contributed....every last one of them gave 110%. I feel like a proud Mama.....my boys played so well! :)

Sidney Penguin wants to know why WE don't have a TV like this....

Sidney likes seeing his namesake kiss the Cup for the first time!

The moment we've all been waiting for!

(I think little Sid was a little teary here....)

S.P. is at a loss for words for this picture....

THANK YOU, PENGUINS!!!!!! ENJOY YOUR SUMMER :)

Christmas in......June??

Just to show how behind I am on everything....here are pictures Clare sent of Marc Andre Penguin enjoying a little company amongst her mom's Santa collection! So, since we're probably all sweltering in the summer heat, perhaps you can sit down with a cup of cocoa and hum Christmas carols while enjoying Clare's pics :)

You guys grow really good playoff beards!

Can you find Marc Andre in this picture?

MAP makes so many friends wherever he goes :)

I feel cooler already!

Coming soon.....Penguins On Parade :)

Sidney Finds the Perfect NY Neighborhood!

Meira lives in Brooklyn and Sidney quickly found a place where he could feel right at home!

Max? Where are you??

That sign points that way....let's see if we can find Max over there....

Look! Max has an apartment complex! I think I'm gonna like it here :)

I'm glad that Sid and the Talbot signs are helping Meira feel better about being away from her hometown of Pittsburgh :)

Friday night.....Game 7......I hope all the little Roamers are able to plant themselves in front of TV's so they can watch their team hoist THE CUP!!

GO PENS!!!
